It's only 1 pm and I bet I've said "MAMA" 200 times as I look her in the ojos (that's Spanglish for eyes).

6 month stats

Alex had her 6 month appointment today.  She was much more interactive with the Doc than she has ever been.  She wanted to eat his stethoscope, and she wanted to scratch his eyeballs out.

STATISTICS:

50% FOR HEIGHT (She grew 1" in 2 months)

60% FOR WEIGHT (16 lbs 3 oz)

75% FOR HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE (and we were thinking her neck was small, not the case)

Our furnace is on the fritz, and it was real cold in our house this morning (hence the long underwear and beanie).

This is where Alex hangs out while I eat my breakfast.  She either plays with the spatula or the box of mac n' cheese (organic of course).

Denver Zoo

Alex and I went to the zoo today.  She hung in there for about an hour and a half...

she introduced herself to a lot of animals and kids...

then it was lights out...nap time.

Lessons learned

The chicken and I visited Jen and PP while they were hard at work with their house remodel.  

Jen realized that it takes longer to remodel a house than it does to make a baby.

PP has learned that his suits and button-down shirts have shrunk in the last year...weird.

Hulk joined the chicken in "the circle of neglect" today so that I could get some stuff done.

Alex was a trooper today.  She got up early and went to a meeting with me.  She was real confused at first, cuz we were sitting in a circle like we do at story time, but then we didn't sing,

Time change

I'm changing "tickle time" from 7pm to 5pm.  Alex was too wound up the other night to sleep.  

Every time I would put her in her bed, she would flap her arms and giggle.  She kept misbehaving like this until midnight.
