Aquarium playground
The chicken and I went to the Aquarium today. Here she is in HER favorite part, the playground. She ran around giggling, ate a snack, and giggled some more.

Mommy rocks!
This is just one more reason why I think Alex is lucky to have 2 Mommies. I got home from work this morning and found out that BFF, aka Mommy, slept right here next to Alex last night. Alex had a fever all day on Thanksgiving and Mommy was worried enough to sleep next to her. I'm happy to report that the chicken does not have H1N1 or Strep Throat. The Doctor says that she has an ear infection and some sort of kid virus.

New Favorite TV show
I didn't know I was pregnant : TLC
(This show is A-Mazing. Yesterday I saw a woman who didn't know she was pregnant with twins until they were delivered at 38 weeks! When she began to experience labor pains, she went to the Chiropractor. The first baby was a big surprise, but the second baby...holy cow, you've got to see this show. Another lady didn't know she was pregnant until she delivered her baby girl in the toilet. When she heard the baby crying, she asked her husband - and I quote - "The coyotes sure are noisy tonight honey, and my gas pains are totally gone.")
New Favorite Song
Bad Romance : Lady GaGa
Get out your whistles and chaps, people, this song is legit.

Zombie
Alex's new walking style resembles that of a Zombie. She puts her arms straight out in front of her and doesn't bend her legs. But don't make fun, cuz she's a quick study. She will stare at you and do EXACTLY whatever it is that you are doing. She was imitating me on the computer the other day by scratching the computer key board and glancing up at the screen.
10 year warranty, seriously
I have been SUPER excited about the bean bag I ordered for Alex. Just ask BFF, I've been talking non-stop about this pink camo bean bag with the 10 year warranty! Amazing.
Our dream came true yesterday when it arrived in the mail!
Here is the chicken, Dora, and Mac n' Cheese (green frog), putting the new bean bag to the test in front of Madagascar Christmas.
"Rae, Rae, Rae, Rae, Rae.."
Alex doesn't let Rae get very far from her these days. This is Alex calling, "RAE, RAE, RAE, RAE, RAE" at our outing to the Rec Center.

Hey look at me!
Alex started walking for real on her own in the last couple of days. She's real proud of herself.
I'm a toddler!
Alex became a toddler in the last 2 days.
I'm not even kidding. TODD-LER.
As in, throw a tantrum in the mall toddler, as in, I want to do everything you're doing toddler, as in, human wrecking ball toddler, as in, I can do it myself toddler, as in, the only time I'm still is when I'm sleeping toddler, as in, eat the same meal for 8 days then hate that meal suddenly toddler, as in I want to hit you then hug you toddler...

Big and Little Alex
I digress
Alex and I were listening to Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana" whilst eating breakfast this morning.
I changed the words to "You eat your Ba-na-na". And sometimes I sing, "Tinkle tinkle little star" while I'm going to the bathroom. In fact, I can barely hold a conversation with adults these days. I really don't have much more to talk about other than poopie, doggies, horsies, doggie poopie, nap time, and boogies.
CALL ME SOMETIME, let's talk.

"HI WIERDOS"
Alex and I walked down by the river today. She brought Rae, and Rae's stroller.
Alex would say "Hi" to the oddest people. She wouldn't even make eye contact with the "normal-looking people", but if a wierdo was approaching, Alex would wave and say "HI, HI, HI, HI, HI, HI, HI, HI, HI, HI, HI, HI, HI, HI."
These strange people would have no choice but to wave, or address her in some way.
Alex is such a goofball.
And by the way, this is the last time you will ever see these glasses. My little buddy was mocking me, by putting these glasses on her head, one too many times...

My little salad shooter
If you're a meat and potatoes kind of person, plug your ears before you read this. Let me tell you what Alex had for dinner tonight...
Miso soup with tofu and carrots and greens
Smoothie with apple juice, spinach, mango, banana and carrots
Can I get a "HOLLA"?
Alex is finally eating her vegetables!!!!! It was real messy too!

FIRST EVER CAPTION CONTEST
little swimmer
We went swimming today for something different. For the first 15 minutes, Alex hung on my neck like a baby monkey. She was a little scared at first, but got used to the water quickly. I made motorboat noises with my mouth, and she thought that was the funniest thing in the entire world. (I really love that she thinks I'm funny, cuz I get sick of my own jokes.)

Hello everyone and everything
Alex and Rae and I walked down by the river today. ALEX WAS SO PROUD TO BE WALKING HER OWN BABY. There were a lot of moms walking their babies. Alex talked to everyone, and everything.
When I would grab the stroller to point Alex in the right direction, she would swat my hand away and make an unhappy grunt. She is such a big girl.

Hey, watcha doin chicken?
Alex and I cut the grass today for the final time this season. It took approximately 30 minutes.
That was 30 minutes for her and her needle-like fingernails to be picking at the mole on the back of my neck. SERIOUSLY THE ENTIRE TIME.
The way I figure, it will only take a couple more "backpack sessions", and she will have my mole entirely removed.

dog and pumpkin
pumpkin and her dolly
BFF and I dressed Alex up as a pumpkin and went trick or treating, urban style. It's where all of the vendors in a trendy part of town, hand out candy. I'm not sure where exactly this picture was taken, because, seriously, it was standing room only for most of it.
I was excited for Halloween, but mostly I am looking forward to switching our clocks back to standard time. That means Alex goes to bed 1 hour earlier!!!
