"Let's do it again. Let's do it again."
The chicken loves the water slide, not the baby slide, but the big big big slide!

This is how it's done little girl
Wildlife Experience
Alex and I went to The Wildlife Experience today. I was expecting some butterflies with pushpins through their wings in glass boxes, and maybe a larvae exhibit.
This place was awesome! There were real animals (dead ones), that had mechanical movements.
Alex was scared, but it was a good experience overall.

Time Out Aunt Melanie
Aunt Melanie was put in Time Out for saying a bad word. The kids, Santos, Arlo and Alex are explaining the rules to her.
Rule #1 The offender must stay in Time Out 1 minute for every year old you are (Santos said that Melanie had to stay for 10 minutes based on her age.)
Rule #2 The offender must not talk at any point during the Time Out (clearly Melanie is in violation.)
Rule #3 Your time doesn't start until you've stopped crying. (We do not enforce this rule at our house. When Alex earns a Time Out, she is soooo crushed at her situation, that she really shapes up afterwards.)

busy, busy
train ride
We are sooooooo excited for the train!
My little mini-me cracks me up. There was a little boy misbehaving while we were waiting for the train. I kept telling Alex that he was being naughty, and he was going to be in big trouble.
Of course, his parents didn't even notice, let alone care what sort of shenanigans he was up to.
As soon as we rode away in the train, I told her that he was in time out, and that he wouldn't get his turn to ride the train. We've been talking a lot about him. I mean A LOT.
Then we brushed the dog...

Baby Monkey and Julian
Did she just say, "Hola"?
This is the story of how Baby Monkey saves Julian.
Alex is talking sooooo much now. She told the neighbor kids yesterday that her Mama was at work making a baby with curly hair, and that Mama was going to bring the baby home for Alex to play with.
RDP
Alex frequently talks about how she is scared of Raccoons.
Here is Nana telling Alex about the Raccoon family that lives in their backyard.
Alex looks worried, but she's been asking us questions about the family ever since. This is what we call the Raccoon Desensitization Process. (You may recall the Dinosaur Desensitization Process.)

That damn bird
I was taking a nap with Alex today (except I was the only one sleeping). When I was awakened by an object hitting me in the head. I was rubbing my head, trying to figure out what happened, and Alex was an inch away from my face saying, "It was the birdie that hurt you Mama. It was the birdie that hurt you Mama."
(Note the birds in her hand.)
