I showered today, and I ate lunch sitting down.  

For the past 2 weeks, I have been living in my pj's, and brushing my hair with my pillow every morning.  My pocket pal has me on the ropes.  Just when I think I can lay down and nap with her, she opens her eyes real wide and starts making cute noises, which signals that nap time is over.  

Today I gained some self respect by washing my hair, and putting on a pair of jeans.  

We miss BFF.  It's her first week back at work, and all 3 of us are missing each other...

We went to the doc today.  I actually felt like a normal human being getting out of the house and all. 

Alex is in the 50% for height and weight.

Pocket Pal

My little pocket pal worked me over last night.  She literally pulled an all-nighter.  Real funny. 

Check out for yourself what my night looked like.  I did learn how to make Italian Lamb chops, and cinnamon, butter flavored gnocci.  

On another note, my boobs and I went for a "hike" today.  I used to think that I was going to take up running while my special parts heal.  After the moderate hike today, with a fairly supportive bra, I'm reconsidering.  I'll wait until I can handle a bike seat.

Holy Jesus...Kelly Clarkson...my nipples are en fuego!!!

Breastfeeding has caused my nipples to feel like there is a hornet's nest in my baby's mouth whenever she bellies up to the bar.  

How long will this phase last?  I must know in order to persevere with the sweet, sweet nectar.

I was sorta hoping that Alex was going to come with an instruction manual.  I fullyexpected it to be tucked away in my placenta.  No such luck.

Dear Readers, 

Thank you for your wonderful comments and loyalty while I have been away.  I will download more pics as soon as I find my camera cord.  

The past few days have been the most amazing days of my life.  I realize that my hormones may be somewhat wacky, but I had no idea how much I would fall in love with our little girl.  I even miss her when I'm in the same room with her sometimes.  

I haven't really been answering my phone, or returning messages, because I am really enjoying every second with baby Alex.  Just know that we're all doing great, and I'll keep you posted... 

Oh yeah, does anyone have a good recipe for Bronco Placenta Chili?  (I think they're playing on Sunday and we were gonna make some cornbread.)

Baby Status- News Flash

Almost crossed #2 off the To-Do List today...not #2 as in poo, but #2 as in having the baby. I think the gym workout this morning really influenced the start of the whole  "cussing contractions" fo sho!

5pm something: off to the hospital 

6pm something until whenever...lots of squatting & walking the halls of the hospital

2:00am:...can you say "epidural"! mom to-be needs a little rest before the BIG push.

Since Hulk doesn't feel like coming out yet, I'll do "highs and lows" for today's posting.

Highs:

Kept busy this morning running errands, and when I finally looked at the clock, it was 2:30.  Just in time for ELLEN.

Lunch with my boyfriend PP Pettersen.

Lows:

I realized that the underwear I purchased from King Soopers is mildly irritating to my skin. 

Actually, it's the frills on the top (not in a Victoria's Secret kind of frills) of the underwear that are sorta itchy.  (NOTE: there are several lows in this one.  Purchasing underwear from the grocery store #1.  Wearing underwear with frills at the top #2.  And lastly, the irritation to the skin #3.)

1 centimeter dilated, 50 effaced.  

I'm 51% pleased with this news.

I'm trying to shock my Virtual Friends into tuning in more often as I don't have a whole lot of news to report.

Holy crap

Dear Virtual Readers,

My blog has really been suffering lately as I have been up to my neck in baby, literally. This past weekend was real busy. I worked Friday night, and Saturday, then on Saturday I was inducted (or is it induced?). Only, I didn't know that I was being induced, nobody bothered to contact me.

INDUCTED INTO THE FORT LEWIS COLLEGE HALL OF FAME, THAT IS!!

Since I was not able to attend this year, the Athletic Director said that I could come next year with the Hulk, and we would do this the proper way. I imagine that involves a banquet with overcooked vegetables and white table cloths. In the meantime, #10 has been retired...

THE FOOT

BFF and I had an ultrasound today.  

My OB, (not the one with the nails) ordered one based on the fact that I haven't gained weight since week 28.  She wanted to make sure that The Incredible Hulk was growing.  Little did she know that the Hulk has been getting her nutrients from my side abs (back fat), my thighs, and has recently been chipping away at my chins.  This kid and I are gonna get along just fine.

Anywho, there were a few surprises...

It turns out, she only has 2 knees, and 2 elbows.  I could have sworn that she had 7 of each.

Also, what I thought was a size 13 left foot (as shown in photo) is actually quite an appropriate size for a 6 lb 7 oz little girl.  I can't wait to meet that foot...

The Ultrasound Tech described our baby as "hyperactive".  (We are currently looking into prenatal riddalin)

BFF and I went to a 2 years old's birthday party last weekend.

Begin working alphabet-shaped tater tots and pigs-in-a-blanket into diet to fit in with other moms...

So it's pretty crazy that I'm creating a life...

I don't think I've ever created anything worthwhile.  My mom is real creative.  She can make rugs, wall-hangings and quilts with just a half a cup of coffee, and a dozen of those sugar-coated marshmellow peeps, and an all nighter.  

I got no game.  

In highschool once I made a pair of pants, but the front pockets went 2 different directions.  I also made a turtle pillow.  Actually, the turtle pillow was some of my best work.  I wonder whatever happened to that...?
