Alex was all the envy of the little girls during our shopping trip today.
I was determined to get Alex out of the house today and out for a walk. By the time she got up from her "winter slumber", the sun was going down and it was wicked cold. Our walk lasted approximately 7 minutes.
Alex is real hard to capture an image of these days. She moves extremely fast, and she's very curious of the camera. Here she is giving all of her Virtual Friends "the rock".
With all of the presents that Alex received this year for Christmas, she chooses to play with this Camel Back that we've had for years.

Alex was real thirsty after swimming today. She has gained so much confidence since she started walking. She got splashed in the face like a million times by all the kids on Christmas Vacation and she wasn't even scared.
The chicken and I "ran" the Jingle Bell Jog this morning with Dawn the Great and Kerry. It is a race that a neighborhood family puts together. 
Everyone poops. I'm just relieved that Santa and his Reindeer know how to find our house.
Meet Liz and Cher. Cher is the one wearing the a-mazing boots. Liz is the one with the voice of an angel, and if you heard her say, "peanut buuuuuuuuuuter", you would immediately love her.
I went to a Christmas party tonight by myself on a counta BFF and Alex have the mocus. The house is on lockdown until they're healthy.
Grandpa and Judy are in town from Detroit this week. We went to the Aquarium. When we were leaving, Alex said, "bye fish, bye fish, bye fish".

Little chicken rallied today for a walk to the park. Thank you for all of the well wishes, I think she's gonna feel better tomorrow.
Alex has been hit with the trifecta, croup, ear infection, and teething. Her face looks like a glazed donut from the snot shmear. Rae, however, feels great.
"Croup, croup e doop, croup e doop e doop e doop."
After 10 days of sub-zero weather, we finally got some much needed Vitamin D today. Alex was VERY happy to be outside, until she slipped and got Dora's hair all snowy, that was a disaster.
This kid has got to start pulling her own weight around here. I rented her a vacuum this month.
Now that Alex has learned to walk, SHE WALKS, AND WALKS AND WALKS AND TALKS.
It feels like Fargo outside. 
Alex wanted to show off her "mad walking skills" at the indoor playground today. Do you see that little girl in the picture sitting on the blue hippity hop? 
Alex and Uncle Travis watched "SHREK 2" tonight. Alex can totally reach in for her snack and not take her eyes of the feature presentation.
It's wicked cold here in Colorado...doesn't seem to phase the chicken though. She keeps pointing to the window wanting to go outside.
Alex and Rae went for a walk in the Winter Wonderland. Alex REALLY doesn't like when things stick to her hands (in this case it's fake snow). She will stop whatever she is doing and shout, "MAAAAAA-MA, MAAAAAA-MA", until we wipe her hands clean of said object.
Alex was perfectly content sitting on Santa's lap, for like a nano-second. Click on the image to enlarge.

The chicken and I went to the Aquarium today. Here she is in HER favorite part, the playground. She ran around giggling, ate a snack, and giggled some more.
Alex and the tiger were paw to paw. He kept licking his lips and pacing while she was banging on the glass trying to pet him.
This is just one more reason why I think Alex is lucky to have 2 Mommies. I got home from work this morning and found out that BFF, aka Mommy, slept right here next to Alex last night. Alex had a fever all day on Thanksgiving and Mommy was worried enough to sleep next to her. I'm happy to report that the chicken does not have H1N1 or Strep Throat. The Doctor says that she has an ear infection and some sort of kid virus.
Alex's new walking style resembles that of a Zombie. She puts her arms straight out in front of her and doesn't bend her legs. But don't make fun, cuz she's a quick study. She will stare at you and do EXACTLY whatever it is that you are doing. She was imitating me on the computer the other day by scratching the computer key board and glancing up at the screen.
I have been SUPER excited about the bean bag I ordered for Alex. Just ask BFF, I've been talking non-stop about this pink camo bean bag with the 10 year warranty! Amazing. 
Alex's new trick is asking for a cracker in sign language. She'll pull this move at the most inconvenient times.
Alex became a toddler in the last 2 days.
