baby tree

The swim teacher, Heather, has a little baby named Quinton. Alex calls him "baby tree".
Here she is pointing to baby tree so that I will take her over to pet his head (that's what she likes to do to him).
The summer reading program is back in full force. All we have to do is read 15 minutes a night for a month, then on August 2nd, we can collect our free book! Good thing we don't have to read DIFFERENT books, because all she wants to read is a book called, "Gossie". I read that darn book 23 times tonight.

slurp

My little mophead gets real hungry from all that swimming.

It's popsicle-making season, does anyone have any flavors they would like Alex to try?

Look how happy Blue Rae is to be out for a walk

Alex and I went for a walk down by the river before storytime at the Library.
"Miss Icanpickoutmyownclothes" wanted to wear her pijama top all day in the 90 degree weather.

Look Blue Rae

Alex wanted Blue Rae to see the rushing water below the bridge.

bye bye baby

Alex dropped the baby on the ground, placed her bottle next to her, and said, "Bye bye baby", then she walked away.

covet the curls

The sissies came over for dinner the other night, and here they are coveting Alex's curls.

Climb that rope sista

I'm trying to climb the rope without my legs, that is why the image is blurry, not because of vertical speed.
Does anyone else have World Cup fever? (Aunty L, I know you do.)

best place ever!

Alex came with me to the Doctor for a check up, and she DID NOT LIKE anyone laying a hand on me. She had an emotional afternoon because of that, so I decided she needed a little stress relief. We went to a place called "Jumpstreet". It was a HUGE building with wall-to-wall trampolines and jumpy castles. It smelled like stinky feet and sweaty kids, but we had a blast. I was giggling so hard when I was jumping, that it made Alex burst out in laughter just seeing me come undone...

summer is fun

We biked to the ice cream store with all of Alex's friends yesterday. She loves wearing her helmet. It's real convenient to have the size adjuster right up front where we can see it.
She would not let me even have a BITE of her cookies and cream with sprinkles.

Where's my baby?

Um, wasn't she just a baby yesterday?

Bring on summer!

I love that Alex and the turtle have the same expression.

Day #1 at the "poo"

Day 1 of the "poo" (as Alex calls it). Here are the kids in the 55 degree water while it is filling.
Alex could bear the temperature a little better than the skinny kids.
She is pumping her fists in this picture cuz she's sooooooo excited.

bapa and chicken

Bapa came over for a little fun in the sun with the chicken. They both had to put sunscreen on their bald spots.

train ride

The mall is trashy, but the train is super cool.
